Project 365 – Week 36

This week has seen the boys return to school after the Summer holidays and Erin starting meithrin (Welsh medium nursery) in the mornings.  After a jam packed Summer I had mixed feelings about this week but the boys in particular were ready for the school routine.

242Last weekend I picked up a fantastic bargain on one of the facebook selling pages, this lovely tent.  It’s got so much more space than the tent we already had and will be far more suited to trips away.  So on Saturday evening we decided to put it up for the first time which was relatively easy once we started and then today I spent some time washing the tent down as there was quite a lot of mud dried on from the last time the previous owner used it.

243Today has been a very quiet day, it was spent pottering around the house, relaxing with a film and getting those last minute things ready for school starting tomorrow.  Rowan and Erin were very kindly sent a Trunki PaddlePak each and Rowan is using his as his school bag.

244Well the first day back to school and first morning in meithrin went well.  Erin had a few tears as I left but quickly settled and came out smiling which was a bonus.  The boys seemed a bit subdued once we got home and watched some tv before I managed to get them in the garden to enjoy the evening sunshine.

This evening after dinner I popped down to see my parents for a bit.  I was greeted by one of their cats, Tomos who was stretched out enjoying the evening sun.  Usually he would have come over for a fuss so he must have been enjoying the sun!

246My parents brought us this lovely fragrant rose bush this evening for our 9th Wedding Anniversary which was last week.  It has such a lovely fragrance and I love yellow roses.

247 Erin finally let me clip her fringe out of her eyes today for meithrin, she looked so grown up.  She’s settled really well this week at meithrin and has come out happy every day which is lovely.  Her key worker feels shes settling well and I’m so pleased she’s using the toilet there as we started toilet training a couple of weeks ago.  So all in all a great start for my little princess.

248We spent the day sorting the house trying to get on top of things before I head off for a couple of days with Mark Warner and some other lovely bloggers, excited is an understatement! But certain jobs have to be completed before I go.  This afternoon dad of 3 decided to tackle the carpets and spent a couple of hours shampooing them.

I hope you’ve had a good week.

Well done to her for settling so well, I can’t believe how grown up she is. That tent looks a real bargain, much better than the 3-man pop-up tent I’ve got.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
