Supporting Save the Children’s Campaign No Child Born to Die

Ive just been reading about Save the Children’s Campaign ‘No Child Born to Die’, what can I say … what a fantastic and moving subject and as a mother of three young sons, one close to my heart.

Save the Children “No Child Born to Die” Campaign
January saw Save the Children launch their campaign No Child Born to Die, but 8 million children under five die every year from illnesses we know how to treat or prevent, such as diarrhoea and pneumonia.  In the 21st Century, this is utterly wrong.
Save the Children work in over 120 countries and they save children’s lives, they fight for their rights and enable them to fulfil their potential.  Save the Children will be focussing on providing healthcare workers and vaccinations in these countries to help prevent more children dying needlessly.  In June Save the Children are aiming to make as much noise as possible at a meeting where David Cameron and other world leaders will be present, to ensure the 4.7 billion funding shortfall is met by all the donar countries.  Meeting this shortfall will ensure the lifes of millions of children around the world are saved.                          (Information taken from Red Ted Art Blog and Save the Children’s website)
