29 weeks

Gosh were is the time going to, Ive potentially got another ten weeks until I meet baby and I’ve so much to do.  Thankfully I finally seem to be over the horrible chest infection that I had for almost eight weeks.  I’m finally feeling really well and ‘blooming’ as they say, I’ve even had people stop me in the street telling me I look really well which always makes me smile.   It’s also surprising how many people have only just realised I’m pregnant and it’s been very obvious for at least nine weeks now.  So they look very surprised when I say how long I have left!

I may be feeling better but dad of three is still ill and off work sick, it seems he’s picked up the chest infection I had.  Having him home has been useful at time though as the days I have been working I have been able to leave Rowan at home in the warm with him while I take the older two to school and pick up the children I look after.  One less to get in and out of the car makes a huge difference.  

I’ve started to look for clothes for the new baby, now we know we’re defiantly having a girl I need to get the essentials in.  Everything I have is for boys, I had given all my unisex clothes away after we had Rowan so I really need to get some bits in.  Dad of three is pleased as it means that I will finally sort out the last of the baby boy bits and find them a new home.  My younger brother’s girlfriend is expecting a baby boy several weeks before our baby is due so I will be passing some bits on to them.  Dad of three thinks he’s finally going to get the attic sorted once the baby boy’s clothes are out of the way, but I’m sure we’ll find something to fill it with again soon.  The attic never seems to be empty for long!  Dad of three has also asked I don’t go pink mad!  personally I don’t think theres a chance of that not happening after having three boys in the house for coming up nearly 8 years. 

I’ve always thought that the majority of shops cater more for girls than boys but now I’ve started looking I’m finding it hard to decide what I like! So I think there’s going to be lots of window shopping until I see something I really like.  

I’m due to finish work next week to start maternity leave and I can’t believe how quickly that’s come around.  I’ve looked after the older of the two siblings since she was eight months old and she and Rowan are very close, so it’s going to be very strange not having her and her brother here several times a week.  I’ve a feeling their last day is going to be rather emotional for us all.
