Planning Erin’s bedroom

Having had four children you would think I would be a dab hand at choosing the perfect nursery furniture. Well you couldn’t be further from the truth. There is so much choice that it is overwhelming at times. So okay I may be well past the need for a Moses basket but Erin is still at that cot to cot bed transition phase but space is limited so it calls for some practical and clever furniture.
I’ve made no secret of the fact that we are in the process of slowly adapting the house to suit our needs and while progress is slow there are some things like the children’s ever changing needs that have dictated that some things need addressing sooner rather than later! One of those things is Erin, while she currently happily co-sleeps with me and dad of 3 we can’t have her sleep with us indefinitely. So I have started the hunt for the perfect furniture.
I came across a range called Galipette. Galipette nursery furniture is a great option for parents Their range is very practical and has some great space saving ideas. Galipette is a French furniture brand who have designed some great contemporary pieces.

I love this Convertible cot It has built in storage and a changing station which can also be detached and the cot converts into a bed, such a clever idea and great for small rooms. This great cot is also currently on offer at £474.95 which for an adaptable piece of furniture is great value.
If space wasn’t an option I would love to have a set like The Maxime nursery room set This set comprises of a Cot, two door wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a changing station. I like the fact that when your little one has outgrown the cot you can buy a bed that will still match the rest of the set. The maxime set is also currently on offer at £749.95.
I think our main problem is where Erin will end up sleeping once she does stop co-sleeping, it more than likely means we will have to look at changing the boys sleeping arrangements too. Once we have decided at least I can choose between one of these great sets.

That cot is fab…The one with built in storage! Wow! I’ve never seen one like that x

  2. Hi welshmumof3,
Thanks for post, I find it really interesting. It seems like a good stuff. The convertible cot you’re speaking about looks like a good deal, but I have to say I’m a bit more traditional though. I think I’m used to traditional values – cot in a middle, dresser on a side. 🙂 hi hi
