Project 365 – Week 4

Well what a wet week we’ve had here, typically it has poured down just in time for school runs when I have to stand about waiting for the boys.  The continued wet and cold weather has meant the whole household has been full of cold this week and I think we were all glad to see the end of the week!
 Here is our week:

January 19th –  After a busy day which saw myself, Rowan and Luc travel to Scolton Manor near Haverfordwest to meet fellow blogger Claire from dairy of the Evans-Crittens to start the Wales leg of the Team Honk Relay.  We had a lovely time completing the exercise trail through the woods and the sun even came out for us.  Returning home in time for Sunday lunch we decided to have a quiet relaxing end to the weekend.  Erin and Rowan climbed onto the sofa together and snuggled up to play games on their innotab and dad of 3’s tablet.  They looked so sweet together.

January 20th – Every Monday see’s the start of the new week and one of my weekly jobs is to book our food shop delivery slot for the Friday.  Then for the next few days as we decide what we would like for meals or I see we have run out of something I add to the shop.

January 21st – I’ve had a heavy cold off and on since before Christmas, I thought it was passing but today it’s back with a vengeance!  So it’s time to get the Lemsip out again.

January 22nd – Today is Trystan’s 8th birthday, I can’t believe he’s 8!  Sadly as its a school day he spends the day in school then attends his last Beaver meeting and swims up to Cubs.  Afterwards we celebrate with Birthday cake.

January 23rd – We all got soaked through on the school run this afternoon, by the time I had changed three younger children and advised the older two to change I’m more or less dry!  So decide a relaxing bubble bath is called for after dinner.  I love my bubble bath’s although they do tend to be hijacked by the children! So dad of 3 and I decide that I will slip upstairs when the children aren’t looking in the bid to have a bath alone, it works and I pour a generous amount of Radox sleep in!

January 24th – An unexpected day off means I can start the household chores I usually leave til the weekend early!  This was the ironing after an hour, yet there was still a over flowing clean washing basket, a load in the drier, one in the washing machine and a full wash basket!  One thing about having a family of six is a never ending round of washing and ironing, plus I don’t iron a lot of things either!

January 25th – I decided to do a spot of baking after lunch today mainly due to being over run with eggs and not having had the chance to bake this week.  I have the obligatory cookies and then decided to make a chocolate sponge cake with chocolate butter cream for desert tonight!  I’ve had to hide it already as the boys were closely watching while I iced it!

How’s your week been?
