Project 365 – Week five

I am so pleased with myself for getting to week five already! I know its not even half way through but to me it’s an achievement, I’m also enjoying taking more photographs.

This week like most others lately has consisted of yet more rain!  Although we actually had a whole day of no rain at all which believe me was fantastic.  Anyway here is our week in photographes:

January 26th – While I was doing the daily washing and drying Kitty decided to explore the dryer which I had literally left open for a minute while I took the dry clothes into the other roomShe is such an inquisitive little thing and it’s just as well I always check the washing machine and dryer before using it!
January 27th – Chocolate mousse for pudding tonight and judging from Erin’s face she really enjoyed it!
January 28th – I found this fantastic mini little tikes coupe car just before Christmas and knew Erin would love pushing her dolls and teddies around in it.  I was right and it has proven to be a huge hit with both Erin and the children I look after.  Today Erin and her little friend spent hours playing with the dolls and it.
January 29th – After a day of torrential downpours it suddenly stopped just after 4pm and when I was sorting out snacks for the children I noticed the sun trying it’s hardest to break through the dark clouds.  I love the way the sun is shining on the rabbit hutches and climbing frame while the rest of the garden is still cast in gloom.
January 30th – I had an impromptu day off today, so I got on with getting a new tyre on my car fitted and the other chores I had to do straight after the morning school run.  Then in the afternoon when Erin was napping I decided to take the opportunity to make some bilingual signs and shapes to use in the play area with both my children and the children I look after.  It’s something I’ve been meaning to do in ages but haven’t had the chance too do.  It also gave me the opportunity to try out my laminator that has been upstairs since I bought it three years ago!  Dad of 3 returned to find the wall and shelving units covered in Shapes, colours and days of the week in English and Welsh.
January 31st – At the end of the day while the boys watched cartoons after I finished work I sat with a cup of tea waiting for Dad of 3 to get home so we could decided on dinner.  It was lovely to see such a gorgeous sunset after weeks and weeks of dark cloud in the sky.
February 1st – Kitty has started taking more notice of what’s going on in the garden this week.  Until this morning she hadn’t really noticed our other cats so it was really funny to watch how she reacted when Merlin popped up at the window for a closer look!  They spent a good twenty minutes just starring at each other.
I hope you’ve all had a good week.
