Project 365 – Week 24

I honestly can’t believe how quickly this last week has gone, it’s been a mix of the usual hectic goings on and I had lots to do but yet feel I haven’t accomplished much.  I also can’t believe that this time next week Britmums Live will be finishing for another year.  I’m so grateful to my lovely sponsor Breathease for making it possible for me to attend.  At the same time I’m starting to feel a little anxious as I will be going it alone this year as Erin is too old to come with me so it means it will be the first time we’re apart since she was born, eek.  Yet at the same time I am so looking forward to seeing the other lovely bloggers, catching up with friends and making new ones.  I’m planning to attend more sessions this year and build on my knowledge and experience, so wish me luck.
But back to this week, here’s what we’ve been getting up too.
Sunday 8th June 1014
On our way home today from a couple of night’s in Tenby with my mum and the children, we decided to take a diversion and visit Saundersfoot.  Neither myself or my mother have ever been and thought it would be nice to go and have a walk along the beach.  We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the lovely expanse of sand before the beach filled up with people planning to spend the day.  We will be taking dad of 3 there over the summer as it really is a lovely spot.

Our bedroom was stiflingly hot today.  Despite having had the curtains drawn since 4.30pm and a pedestal fan on from 6.30pm in an attempt to cool the room, the thermometer was still reading 25 degrees centigrade at 9.30pm!  It really is a struggle to cool the house down at the moment and everyone is struggling to sleep in the heat despite enjoying the gorgeous weather.
Tuesday 10th June 2014
I honestly didn’t think Kitty could get into a smaller space than she previously has!  however when I left a draw open in our sideboard this morning while I was doing crafts with the little ones, I was surprised when I couldn’t close it a couple of minutes later.  When I knelt down to take a closer look I could see Kitty sat behind the draw!  The only way to get the silly cat out was to empty the cupboard below!
Wednesday 11th June 2014
At the end of last week I picked up a couple of children’s chairs in my local Tesco, one with Hello Kitty on for Erin and another with Peppa Pig on.  This morning at snack time Erin insisted on bringing her chair in from the playhouse and sitting in front of the TV eating Jaffa Cakes!  she certainly made herself comfortable!
Thursday 12th June 2014

Another glorious day here and we spent the majority outdoors in the garden with the little ones.  Their loving the trampoline at the minute so we have been playing games and singing nursery rhymes on there.  But it’s hard work bouncing! so I decided we were going to lay and look at the sky and see if we could spot aeroplanes for a bit.  The children loved watching the sky.
Friday 13th June 2014
The temperature climbed again today and I spent most of it inside trying to keep Erin cool while tackling some housework.  Dad of 3 finished work early today and we ceased the opportunity to spend an hour on Poppit.  Trystan had bought himself a body board at the end of last Summer but had yet to use it, so I decided to get the other two a body board each and with these in tow we enjoyed an hour on the beach.  The boys loved being in the water while Erin and I played in the sand and kept cool in the beach shelter.  Within ten minutes of getting home we had a small down pour which came out of the blue but cooled the air slightly.
Saturday 14th June 2014
We’ve spent a quiet day lazying around the house.  Sometimes it’s nice to have days like this although I did tackle a mountain of ironing this morning before taking some time out to read a book while Erin napped this afternoon.  We decided to use the last of our disposible BBQ’s and cook part of tonight’s tea outside, making the most of the weather.
