Project 365 – Week 27

I actually can’t believe we’re now into July, this last two or three months seem to have flown by.  We are literally two weeks to go until school breaks up for Summer holidays!  Here’s what we’ve been up to this week.
Sunday 29th June 2014
After a rather manic week, we had a fairly quite day settling in our new chickens and relaxing.  The weather had been a bit cooler the couple of days but the warmth had started building again by late afternoon.  The boys had been asking for their water pistols for a couple of days so dad of 3 decided to get them out after dinner.  Which meant one thing….Water Fight!
Monday 30th June 2014
This evening I discovered the first of our strawberries were almost ripe.  It’s a lovely feeling knowing that you’ve grown something to eat, there’s something quite satisfying about it.
Tuesday 1st July 2014
Eek I can’t believe Rowan is 5 tomorrow! how on earth did that happen!  I managed to wrap two of his presents while he was at school but the third one had to wait until after he had gone to sleep.  Thanks to the light nights and the heat it meant it was gone 10pm before I had the chance to wrap it.  It also meant I had to wrap it in the dark with only the light from the TV so I did not wake him or the other children! The things we do!
Wednesday 2nd July
Happy 5th Birthday Rowan, we had a day of excitement and birthday cake!  Cake sent in to school to share with his class mates and cake with dinner.  I can’t quite believe that our little cheeky monkey is five!  Today also brought more excitement for me when I discovered I was to be one of ten bloggers to travel to Turkey with Mark Warner Holidays in September as a #markwarnermum.  I can’t tell you how excited I am although it will be very very strange for me have five whole days without dad of 3 and the children.
Thursday 3rd July 2014
Erin’s hair finally started growing just after her birthday in March and in the last two weeks she has started to get little curls at the nap of her neck, their very cute and I can’t wait until I can plait her hair etc.  Sometimes it’s little things like curls that make us smile and remind us just how lucky we are and how much we love our children.

Morph is Back! I loved Morph when I was growing up so when I found out last week he was back I was excited to see a favourite childhood character return.  After school I took part in a twitter part for Aardman Animation who own Morph to mark the launch of Morph’s very own You Tube channel and brand new episodes.  You can check out the fun we had if you search for the hashtag #MorphisBack on twitter

Saturday 5th July 2014

A long busy day was had here today, it was Rowan’s birthday party this morning so we were up early preparing the food and party bags before heading off to join thirteen of his friends to celebrate.  When we returned Grandma and Uncle Jon had come to visit for the afternoon which meant more excitement.  We had a relaxing afternoon watching Wimbledon and chatting before it was time to make dinner and the evening routines.  After baths the boys and I climbed into bed and watched the end of Smurfs 2 before bed.
