Project 365 – week 33

I can’t believe we’re now over half way through the Summer holidays! It’s certainly been busy so far and we’ve lots more planned for the next two weeks.  So here’s what the last week has looked like.

We had a day of torrential rain with thunder and lightening today.  It needed though, well the rain was after the several weeks of dry weather.  Can’t say I’m a fan of thunder and lightening so fingers crossed there is no more for a while.  I stood and watched the storm clouds roll pass as the sun went down.

I spent the majority of today catching up on house work and the children relaxed watching TV and playing on the play station.  No one had the motivation to go out today so it was nice to have a day in the house pottering around.   Kitty found every opportunity to jump out of boxes and baskets and certainly made me jump a couple of times!

Today we did the totstakeover on instagram for the day, it meant we took photographs of everything we did.  We went for a lovely walk along Patch to see the boats moored near the boat club.  On the way home we stopped off to see my dad who was working on his latest bee hive.  He’s now got eleven colonies! While I was photographing the hives two of his chickens came to see what I was doing.  Then this evening I spent some time with my mum discussing plans for my sisters Hen Do next week.  It was lovely to spend some time just the two of us.

After a busy day with the children and work I was grateful of the chance to sit down and enjoy the Great British Bake Off.  I enjoy watching and picking up new ideas.

Today was another busy day, to be honest most days are busy especially during the school holidays!  We did some arts and craft today and the boys made bread rolls for lunch again.  Once all the chores where done at the end of the day I sat down to watch another of my favourite programmes Who do you think you are?  I missed the first twenty minutes which I was disappointed about.  I love listening to Brian Blessed’s Voice, there’s something quite soothing about it and he discovered some great characters in his family.

Today was spent getting things organised to go away for two nights after work.  Then once dad of 3 got home we set off into Pembrokeshire to find our destination.  We found the campsite quite easily and the children were excited to see where we would be spending the next two nights.  Keep your eyes peeled for our review…

We spent a fantastic day at Heatherton today, we got to try out lots of different activities.  One of the older boys  favourites had to be archery.  We were very lucky with the weather and a very brief shower which passed as quickly as it started.  We spent nearly six hours enjoying the activities before heading in to Tenby to pick up some supplies for tea and then making our way back to the campsite.   Where the children quickly made some new friends and spent the evening playing together while dad of 3 and myself prepared dinner.

How’s your week been?
