This last week has been relatively uneventful here. The boys spent some time with their uncle and his girlfriend. Luc and I picked up scripts for this years panto which we both have parts in! and I’ve managed to get the last bits of school uniform. The weather has been awful, wet, windy and cold so we’ve spent the majority of the week inside which has meant tension has built between us all.

Tonight at bath time Rowan and Erin decided they wanted to use their swim towels and spent a good ten minutes quacking and ribbiting at me which they thought was very funny! They did make very cute ducks and frogs!

We had a lovely quiet day today, just pottering around the house and watching films together. The boys helped their uncle complete the ice bucket challenge which they thought was hilarious and I decided we needed to attempt some family photos as we don’t really have any. It took several attempts but we got a few lovely ones.

Today the boys went to spend some time with one of their uncles and his girlfriend. They were treated to lunch out and a trip to the cinema to watch how to train your dragon 2. The house was very quiet for the couple of hours they were gone. But Erin, my minded child and I had a lovely teddies bear picnic and enjoyed the peace! When the boys returned their uncle had also bought they a small gift in town. This is Rowans!

Dad of 3 had a package of survival kit arrive today and the boys couldn’t wait to try it out with him. Rowan looked very cute wearing this zeltbarn, I don’t think we would find him in the undergrowth easily!

This morning the children were thrilled to receive a postcard from Noel who had come to visit last Christmas. The look of surprise was fantastic and they can’t wait to see him at Christmas now.

I’ve had a horrible cold all week and today managed to trap my sciatic nerve and hurt my ankle! so feeling sorry for myself I had a hot bath, grabbed a cup of tea and a pack of Jaffa cakes and retreated to bed to watch movies. It didn’t take long for the children to climb into bed with me asking for Jaffa cakes.

Rowan spent the afternoon dressed up as Spider-Man and Erin not wanting to be left out put on a costume too. She looked very funny as the costume was huge on her!
I hope you’ve all had a good week.
