Project 365 – Week 39

Another week is nearly done and another week of project 365 has been completed.  I’ve spent the majority of this week recovering from the wedding, I can’t believe it’s been a week already!

My brother and his family have been here all week and I’ve enjoyed spending some valuable time with my gorgeous nephew in the mornings after the school run.  It really has been lovely to be able to drop in and see him daily for even just half an hour.  I’ll certainly miss seeing his cheeky little smile in the mornings.

262The day after the big day! despite a 3am bedtime I was up around 9am with the children and not feeling too bad.  I decided to head down the road to my parents to let their dog and chickens out as they had spent the night at the wedding reception venue and I didn’t want them having to rush home.  I planned to only be about half an hour and would have breakfast when I returned.  However fifteen minutes after I arrived my parents, my aunt, uncle and cousins all arrived back at the house and shortly afterwards my other aunt, uncle and cousins arrived.  One set of family left to take a walk on Mwnt before heading home while the other set stayed for a cuppa and a chat.  So it was almost two hours later I arrived home for breakfast!   That afternoon I spent some time playing around with Erin sandals and flowers, taking photos to add to the memories.

264Dad of 3 had a day off today so he had a quiet morning while I did the school run and some shopping before heading back to collect Erin from meithrin.  It was such a lovely day I decided it would be nice to go out for lunch just the three of us, as we don’t often get the chance.  So we headed down to Gwbert and the Flat Rock for lunch out on the patio over looking the sea.  It was lovely to spend a relaxed lunch together, the food was lovely and Erin enjoyed having mummy and daddy to herself for a bit.

265These evening was panto practice.  Luc and I slipped away after the first hour as we weren’t needed for the read through.  When I got home I discovered Erin and Rowan asleep in my bed.  It always makes me smile how they have to sleep so close to each other.

266This morning I decide it was time to bite the bullet and buy myself some makeup!  I don’t tend to wear much but having had so many lovely comments from the wedding I decided it would be nice to make more of an effort sometimes!  I also realised it had been almost twenty years since I bought myself makeup!

267I spent a good hour and a bit trying to choose something for my birthday this evening from dad of 3 and the children.  It’s not as easy as it sounds and I kept seeing things for Erin!

268It’s my birthday today and I had to buy my own birthday cake! Dad of 3 said he would buy me one but it would have to wait until next week when he’s paid!  This afternoon after the school run, I headed to Poppit Sands with the children to meet my brother, his fiance and my nephew along with Granny and Dadcu’s dog for a walk.  It was quite eventful and the children enjoyed running, digging, climbing, splashing, jumping and wading!  It was lovely to see the cousins all enjoying each other’s company.  We had some rather sandy wet children at the end though!  We then headed back to Granny and Dadcu’s in the hope of seeing Granny who had been on a trip to Kraków with my brother.

Saturday 27th September 2014

269Today we headed to Laugharne Castle in Carmarthenshire, I had managed to get some free entry tickets as part of CADW’s free entry weekend.  We hadn’t managed to visit any castles this Summer so the boys were excited to explore a new one.  I managed to capture this picture of the four children.  It’s mad me realise how much all four are changing and growing up.  We also took the opportunity to walk along the estuary to Dylan Thomas’s Boat House.

I hope you’ve had a lovely week.
