Lego Duplo Disney Cars Review

All the boys love playing with Lego Duplo and they also love Disney Cars so when I was asked if we would like to review some Lego Duplo Cars sets the boys couldn’t wait for them to arrive.
We were sent two sets from the Lego Duplo Cars range to try, the first set was 5819 Tokyo Racing (Rrp £25.99)  and contained 47 Lego Duplo pieces to create a scene.  The second set was 5818 Luigi’s Italian Place (Rrp £20.99) contained 23 Lego Duplo pieces.  With both sets used side by side the boys quickly built up the scenes on the front of the boxes and got down to the important task of playing!.

The older two were keen to recreate scenes for the Disney Cars films and were happy that both sets enabled them to do so.  With four character cars between them the three boys spent well over an hour playing quite happily before Rowan  lost concentration and wondered off.  I was quite impressed he had lasted so long being only 2 years old.  The older two were happy to move the Lego Duplo up to their bedroom and continued playing for a further hour.  I could not believe they had played not only quietly but without argument for almost two hours.  Now that’s got to be worth it!

The boys played with both sets over the next few weeks and Incorporated die cast cars and action figures. Anything that can keep the boys attention and allows then to use their imagination gets the thumbs up from me as a parent and the boys must have enjoyed the sets to have spent so much time playing with them.  In fact they have now asked for more of the sets for Christmas so that has to be a good sign.

There are eight Lego Duplo Cars sets available and can be played with individually or alongside each other.  If you would like further information please visit www.disney.co.uk  where you can find more of their fantastic Disney Cars 2 range.
