Jamie Oliver and Furi’s delicious Butternut Squash Muffins

The boys have been Moshi Monster fans for several years now so when we learnt that tv Chef Jamie Oliver, was not only getting a Moshi makeover but joining forces with Furi to do some baking they were really excited.  They were rather impressed with Jamie’s ‘fung-tastic’ moshling character ‘Jammie Olive Oil’

Introducing Jammie Olive Oil

Furi has joined Jamie in his Food Tube kitchen and together they have been baking up a storm.  The hope is that through this exciting partnership youngster will be inspired to have a go in the kitchen.  Jamie and the Moshi Monsters believe that food education is a human right for every child and the more children that know what they are eating, the healthier they’ll be.

We were lucky enough to be sent a fantastic hamper with the ingredients for the boys to have a go at making Jamie and Furi’s Butternut Squash Muffins.

jamie hamperThis afternoon Luc decided he wanted to give the muffins a go.   He’s been asking more and more the last few weeks to help in the kitchen so this was the perfect opportunity for him.  I helped him read out the method for the recipe and weigh out the ingredients then I let him get on with it himself.  Luc really enjoyed getting stuck in and I’ll certainly be getting him more involved in future.
