Lightning McQueen Remote Control Car from the disney store is a must for all Disney Cars fans. We were sent one this week and from the moment it arrived and the batteries installed in the remote control unit it was a big hit with all three boys. The car is recommended from age 6 plus but Rowan managed to play with the car without much help at all. Both Luc and Trystan were able to use the remote control unit with ease and manoeuvred Lightning McQueen around obstacles. Although they all found it very entertaining to run over both mine and dad of three’s feet whenever possible! All three boys have spent several hours playing with Lightning McQueen since he arrived and have had great fun doing so. Taking pictures of them playing with the car proved quite a feat as they hardly let Lightning McQueen stay still long enough to do so. They are all huge Disney Cars fan and the remote control car has not disappointed them.
The only issue we have had is that we had to replace the 6 AA batteries that were in the car itself as they were almost flat but apart from that it has been great.
The packaging is at a minimum and the ties used to secure both the car and the remote control unit are easy to remove making the car quickly accessible for your child to start playing with straight away.
The Lightning McQueen remote control car features 15 original character phrases that are activated from the remote control unit, you can drive Lightning McQueen forwards, backwards right and left and there is also a turbo boost button for when you want to speed him up. When you are driving Lightning McQueen he has working headlights and a rumble feature like the engine starting.
The car requires 1 9v and 6 AA batteries which are included with the remote control car. We were sent the Lightning McQueen car but also available is Mater, Francesco and Finn McMissile. Each car retails at £25.00. The price is reasonable for what you are getting and the features each car has. These cars are exclusive to the Disney Store.
