Choosing the perfect shoes to care for your feet

As a busy mum I am constantly on my feet, it’s rare that I get the chance to sit for long. I have to admit that I don’t look after my feet as well as I could do. The whole of the summer I lived in sandals which rubbed as were a bit too wide for me and although I enjoyed the feeling of the fresh air on my feet in hindsight I should have taken the time to buy properly fitting sandals. After all I wouldn’t dream of putting the children in ill fitting shoes but with four children to now buy for it’s so easy to put them first.
In hindsight I should be treating my own feet the same as the children’s feet. While shoes can be expensive it is worth taking the time to find some that are practical and suitable for the activity you are doing, for example, running or daily use. I have never been able to get on with wearing heals although did wear kitten heals for work before the children came along. In fact these days there is far more chance of finding me in trainers or ballerina pumps than heals. It’s something that dad of 3 hates, he’d love to see me in heels more often! He thinks I’m being boring and doesn’t understand that my choice in footwear is more practical for running around after children and pushing pushchairs around. Ideally I need to find shoes that are practical but will care for my feet at the same time.
I’ve been doing some research and yet again found so many options, you can buy trainer that tone while you walk or run and even ones that help alleviate foot conditions such as fallen arches and blisters. One of the ranges I have been looking at is Vionic. Vionic combine style with substance I’m not sure dad of 3 would like them but they have some very practical yet stylish shoes available.
These Vionic Chloe shoes look lovely, they have been designed to support your feet and realign your lower legs. They help re-distribute your weight to reduce forefoot pressure which will help take pressure of your toes.
I also quite like these Tahoe trainers from their collection too. These would be very practical for daily use yet are stylish too.

Are you a fan of heels or wedges? Do you prefer comfort over style? I would love to know about your favourite pair of shoes.
