Black and White Photography Project

It’s been a bit of strange week with the older two boys spending some time at their grandmas while I worked.  I took the younger two and the two children I look after out for the day on Wednesday and we had a lovely time.   The house has been very quiet which isn’t a bad thing as I’m still not 100%.  Thursday and Friday had been very wet here so when I woke yesterday to see it dry and the sun trying to make an appearance I quickly decided to head down to Gwbert for a walk, taking my parent’s dog Charlie with me as I was dog sitting.

Charlie was as pleased as I was to stroll along the water’s edge and watch some people sailing from the Boat Club.  There are a few old boats moored along this stretch of the estuary and I love the weathered look they have, it tells tales of a well used boat with many sailing trips under its wings.  I tried to capture some while we walked along which wasn’t that easy with Charlie anxious to explore.

I think using black and white with these photographs adds something to the subjects, drama and intrigue.  So I’m joining in Podcast’s Back and White photography project again this week with these photographs.  You can find the others taking part here black and white2.5.4.15

black and white1 5.4.15This is my favourite photography, I’m always drawn to this boat whenever I’m walking here.  There’s so much character to this old boat, I bet it has some tales to tell …
