Over the weekend the boys were thrilled to receive a copy of the brand new Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb. We have all thoroughly enjoyed the first time Night in the Museum films so they were keen to see if this one would be as good if not better. We decided to settle down and watch the film together on Saturday evening after dinner.
For those that don’t know about the film, here is the synopsis:
If it’s laughter you’re after, get ready for the most hilarious night ever! Ben Stiller leads an all-star comedy cast, including Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Rebel Wilson and Ricky Gervais, for one final, fun-filled Night at the Museum. This time, Larry Daley(Stiler) and his heroic friends embark on their greatest adventure yet as they travel to London in order to save the magic that brings the museum exhibits to life! (taken from press release)
The children and I were certainly in stitches throughout this action packed film. We thoroughly enjoyed this latest offering. We also enjoyed watching the special features available too, which produced more laughter. The special features include:
- Deleted/extended scenes
- Improv, Absurdity, and cracking up – The Comedy of Night at the Museum:Secret of the Tomb
- The Theory of Relativity
- Becoming Laaa
- A Day in the Afterlife
- Fight at the Museum
- Creating the Visual Effects
- Audio Commentary by Director Shawn Levy
- Gallery
The film lasts approx 97 minutes and is well worth a watch. It’s a great film to watch as a family and as a rated PG movie is fun for all. I can see us watching this film over and over again.
Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb was realised on Monday 13th April on DVD and Blu-ray. Available at all good stockists.
