Transforming our bedroom with The Yorkshire Linen Company

Our bedroom tends to be a bit of a dumping ground at present.  The usual trend is for all the things that have been found in the wrong place around the house to end up in our bedroom where they stay until I manage to sort them all out.   I’m sure we’re not the only ones who have a room that ends up being used for this purpose however I’m now slightly fed up of it! and determined to slowly transform our bedroom into a haven of peace and tranquility.  Somewhere that is relaxing and will enable both myself and dad of 3 to get a good nights sleep.

Being realistic this means we need to declutter and sort out the storage here and this will take time.  But there are some things I can do to make a start.  One of those is to sort our bed out and The Yorkshire Linen Company can help me do just that.   I’ve been browsing their website for new bedding that will help me transform our bed.

Below you will see a photo of our bed in its current state, yes that is a child bed guard on one side!  I’ve not managed to get around to removing it since Erin moved into her own bed over six months ago, oops!  Then you will see the lovely Catherine Lansfield bedding that I would love.  It’s actually a design I’ve been lusting over for a while now, I love the colours used and the fact it is a reversible design means you can create two different looks.

yorkshirebedlinenThe design I’ve chosen is the Catherine Lansfield Grampian Stag, it’s 100% cotton flannelette which I think will be lovely a cosy during the cold months yet cool during the warmer months, perfect bedding for all year round.  You can find the double duvet in the design here

Then to complete the look I spotted these polycotton parcel pillowcases in ivory.  I’m afraid much to dad of 3’s annoyance that I like quite a few pillows, so I always need more than the two pillowcases that tend to come with Duvet covers.

PlainDyeIvory_5With my choices made I’m excited to see what our bed will look like with the new bedding in place.  So keep your eyes peeled and I will share the after photos with you soon.
