Do you have trouble buying presents for your children?

As a mum of four children aged 17 to 9 years, buying gifts for them can sometimes be a chore. I have found it especially hard to find suitable presents over the last few years. My eldest two were born 17 months apart and we thought this would make things easier. We would end up buying duplicate items as the both would want the same thing when younger. But that stopped being the case when they hit around six or seven and things became harder as they wanted different things and in more recent years will get upset if bought similar! Buying for R was always straight forward and still is to a degree but with E being the only girl, present buying is completely different again. Over the years I have spent so much time going from shop to shop or searching different internet stores for the perfect gift.

As the children have gotten older I also like to find quirky gifts for them. Actually maybe quirky isnt the right word, original gifts is a better word. I also like to get them stocking fillers such as wooden brain teaser games which can be hard to find. So when you couple these things with the fact that time is usually an issue for me like a lot of people, then where do you start to look for those presents? The last few years I have relied more and more on online stores for my present buying, be that for a birthday, Christmas, wedding etc mainly because living in a rural area its harder to access some of these gifts locally although this has improved a lot and I support local businesses as much as possible. But with that being said, finding an online store that enables me to find multiple or single gifts for my children is always a bonus as far as I am concerned.

After spending hours searching for such an online store I came across Wicked Uncle. What I like about Wicked Uncle is that you can shop by age, gender, category or by popular products and they cater for any age. This makes it so easy to navigate and helps you narrow down your search. Some of the categories you can search by include Educational, Outdoorsey, Building and Construction and Role Play. My favourites are Something New, Wicked Fun and Brainiac, they have some fab original products and ones that I would not have thought of previously. I’ve managed to get some great gifts from them from stocking fillers to gifts for birthdays or Christmas. I particularly like the fact that I can find products I haven’t seen anywhere else before and they are really reasonably priced. The big one for me tough is the fact that the children love the products I have got them from Wicked Uncle. If that wasn’t enough reason to go check them out, the delivery is great. It costs £2.95 for Royal Mail delivery irrispective of the size or weight of your order and if placed before 4pm they will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 which arrives within 2 – 3 days. The other option available is via DPD UK mainland and costs £6.95. The cut off for using this service is ordering before 3pm but again the cost is irrespective of size and weight. Wicked Uncle do not ship on weekends so anything ordered after 4pm on Fridays is sent on the following Monday but this isn’t an issue. Your items arrive really well packed and I honestly can’t fault anything I have received from them. I am currently complaining a list for this years Christmas of products from Wicked Uncle. So why not pop over and take a look, maybe you could leave me a comment with the products that have caught your eye.
