    Hang wet towels over chairs or windows when it’s really stifling. The evaporating water will help the air to cool

    We put blankets across our two washing lines to create a canopy on the decking. Fun too, like a den.

    Keeping the curtains shut when the sun is shining in the windows helps. And lots of fans.

  8. Carry a sponge in your change bag for regularly dampening babies hair to keep them cool x

  10. A paddling pool can’t go wrong, especially when set up in the shade. I also keep pre-made beakers of water in the fridge so I can keep grabbing them and refiling them for William and they are lovely and cold. xx
