Well what can I say, this week has been fantastic in so many ways. A few of the days had been planned for several weeks and one for a couple of months, so I knew that out of the whole Summer this would be the craziest of all!
Sunday 17th August 2014
We had quite a storm in the night with extremely high winds. Some how the children slept through the worst of it but I wasn’t so lucky. Once up and the rain had subsided and everyone was awake we made a run for the little caravan to have some breakfast. While we ate the sun tried to make an appearance so we decided it was time to load the car while we could. Erin spent ten minutes running around the tent and waving goodbye to it, which was very cute to watch then dad of 3 tried to capture a few photographs of her doing so it quickly turned into a game.
Monday 18th August 2014
Today we made the journey to Cardiff to meet up with the lovely The Boy and Me where we were going to explore Dyffryn Gardens. We had a fantastic afternoon and the four boys seemed to have a lovely time climbing trees and exploring the grounds. It was lovely to see them all getting on so well.
Tuesday 19th August 2014
This morning we were invited to attend IPC Athletic European Championships in Swansea by Sainsbury. We meet up with the Evans-Crittens family who were also there. We spent a great couple of hours watching the different events and cheering on the athletes. The atmosphere was great and the children really got involved. After a light lunch we had the chance to meet Dan Greaves who won a Gold Medal in the Commonwealth games in Glasgow in July in the F42/44 Discus. Dan was really nice and chatted to us for a while, signed some of the children’s flags and then posed for a photo with the four boys (my three and Danny from Evans-Crittens) a fantastic experience.
Wednesday 20th August 2014
I think the last couple of days had taken their toll on the children and we had an awful day of tantrums and meltdowns. We were all tired and trying to keep it together wasn’t easy. But when I went upstairs after the children had gone to bed, I discovered these two cwtched up together and I couldn’t help but smile.
Thursday 21st August 2014
We had a very busy day today, six children having fun and then after work it was time to make a start on preparations for my sister’s hen do tomorrow. I spent several hours baking and preparing all that could be done the night before.
Friday 22nd August 2014
The day has finally arrived, my younger sister’s hen do. Thirty of us family and friends headed to Ffos Las Racecourse near Llanelli for Ladies Day. Myself and my mum had prepared high tea for us all to enjoy on the bus, complete with sandwiches, cakes, champagne jelly and a few savories. We had a fantastic day and it was a lovely excuse to dress up. I don’t usually like wearing hats but especially for the occasion I bought one! It was fun watching the races and I even placed a few bets and my last horse came in second and I won a couple of pounds, which I was pleased at for my first time at the races.
Saturday 23rd August 2014
We had a quiet day today, I was tired after my day at the races and pottered around quietly sorting bits and pieces out. The boys have been looking forward to the return of Dr Who and kept asking if it was time yet! So when it finally was we snuggled up together to watch.
How has your week been?
some great meet ups for your boys. She is so cute outside the tent. You looked fab for the races #365
Lovely photo of the four boys, he really did have a great time with them. I’d love to have a go at camping in a tent like that, although I’ve got a bit of a thing about campervans at the moment.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365, there’s a new one live now.
