One of our favourite things to do over the Easter Holidays is to visit one of our local National Trust Properties, and take part in their Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trail. This is become a bit of a tradition over the last few years and we try to visit a different National Trust Property each year to do the trails. It’s a great way to get outdoors, explorer both new and old locations and hunt chocolate, what could be better?
Now in its 8th year, National Trust staff have been busily hiding 21.5 tonnes of Cadbury’s Egghead Easter Eggs around the properties in preparation for this coming weekends trails. The Easter eggs have been hidden all sorts of creative places around the locations from inside grandfather clocks to in bookcases, outbuildings and inside tree trunks.
The Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trails will be running between Good Friday 3rd April and Easter Monday 6th April 2015. You can find your nearest participating National Trust property by visiting here There are over 300 properties taking part so there is bound to be one near you. The boys are getting eggcited about taking part already so we’ve just got to decided which property we will visit this year. Will you find all the eggs?
