Tree Fu Tom and the Carrots of Doom DVD Review

Ever since Tree Fu Tom appeared on Cbeebies he been a firm favourite with the younger two but especially for Rowan.  He loves to join in the actions and so does Erin.  So when we were asked if we would like to take a look at the brand new Tree Fu Tom dvd I knew two little people who would be very excited.

As predicted as soon as Rowan spotted the dvd he was asking to watch it.  So this weekend has been spent watching Tree Fu Tom and his adventures.  Both Erin and Rowan watched the full dvd yesterday morning and then again this afternoon and I can honestly say they enjoyed the episodes just as much each time.  To be honest I can’t see that changing either, usually if they want to watch a dvd a second time it’s one that will be played over and over again.  I also like Tree Fu Tom because the children can interact with the fun which is always an added bonus and means that they aren’t just sitting watching an episode but up on their feet joining in.

Tree Fu Tom and the Carrots of Doom is available now from all good retailers and has a recommended retail price of £6.  A very reasonable price for a children’s dvd and it would make a great gift or even stocking filler at Christmas.  The dvd runs from approximately 132 minutes and has five action-packed adventures full of Big World Magic.  The episodes are Carrots of Doom, Picture this Dragon, Fruit Fiasco, Ranger Tom: A Badge too Far, King Stink and The Sprite before Christmas.

tree fu tom carrot of doomThe Carrot of Doom – sees the Tree Fu Tom Rangers trying to win their ‘Green Fingers’ Badge, but the carrots of Ariela’s range have grown huge and gone crazy  thanks to some seeds from the Big World and Zigzoo’s Harvesting Hands invention!

Ranger Tom: A Badge Too Far – It’s a bumper badge day at Tree Fu Ranger Club with three new badges up for grabs. Tom and Twigs are desperate to get more Tree Fu Ranger badges than Chezz. In their haste to win the badges, Tom and Twigs soon learn that trying to do too many things at once can be disastrous but are given one last chance to prove themselves.

King Stink – when Stink accidentally finds the legendary Golden Crown of Greatness and becomes King of Treetopolis, he revels in having the power to do whatever he wants. However he soon discovers that being King is not all fun and games!

The Sprite Before Christmas – Tom and Twigs are so looking forward to Winter Fest that their over-excitement very nearly ruins the celebrations for everybody else when Tom opens his present from Twigs early. It’s only when they learn that all good things come to those who wait and the virtue of patience that they are able to save Winter Fest for everyone.    (taken from the press release)

So we’ve given Tree Fu Tom and the Carrots of Doom a Big World Magic thumbs up and think it’s a must for all Tree Fu Tom fans.
