Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic

This spring Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck are back with a spectacular new Disney on Ice to celebrate 100 years of magic.  This new show brings you over 50 Disney Stars and a score full of sing-a-long masterpieces, beautiful costumes and stunning choreography.

Tickets are now available for this not to be missed family spectacular from www.disneyonice.co.uk   the show can be seen in Glasgow, Leeds, London, Birmingham and Cardiff between the 15th March and 16th April.  I am very excited to be going to see the show when it comes to Cardiff with my family and can’t wait to see this fantastic show, so what can you expect from Disney on Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic?

Well, Micky, Minnie, Donald and Goofy will be taking to the ice with their friends from much loved Disney movies that span the decades, from Pinocchio to Frozen.  You will travel to the heart of the Africa with Disney’s The Lion King, then be transported on a journey of friendship from Disney Pixar’s Toy Story and then watch in wonder as Belle breaks the Beast’s curse in the tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast.  Then you will enjoy a special visit from Royal Sister’s Anna and Elsa Frozen. You will enter the kingdom of Arendelle and climb up the North Mountain with Kristoff and the hilarious Olaf, as they help the sisters discover that true love conquers all.

“This particular production is by far the largest Disney On Ice show we currently have touring bringing together everyone’s favorite Disney characters from Snow White, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse to Elsa and Anna,” said Producer Nicole Feld. “Our vision is for audiences everywhere to dance and sing along to their favorite Disney songs, so we’ve included 30 tunes that they know and love.”
The collection of Disney melodies includes family favorites like “Hakuna Matata,” “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Let It Go.” Rock out with Squirt and his rambunctious turtle friends from Disney•Pixar’s Finding Nemo with the original song “Turtle Rock.” Fall in love with a musical montage of dazzling prince and princess pairs skating to “At Last I See the Light,” “A Whole New World” and more.
“This is a show, more than any other, that is truly for everybody,” said Producer Kenneth Feld. “When I sit with the audience, I see those that are grandparents, like I am, enjoying a lot of the
classic Disney stories, while young kids and young parents really respond to Frozen and all the latest Disney stories and animation.”

For those watching Disney on Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic you will also be treated to the pre-show ‘Fit to Dance’.  ‘Fit to Dance’ was launched last year by Disney on Ice and aims to inspire families to have fun be active through storytelling and dance.  The ‘fit to dance’ program was developed with EBC Education, it feeds children’s imaginations and encouraged imaginative story telling.  It also reflects the creative process behind Disney on Ice shows, where stories are developed by a team of writers then choreographed into spectacular dance routines.
